Students @ St Giles

Whether you are a new or an existing student you are very welcome here at St Giles.

We understand that, if you are a new student, starting University is an exciting and yet anxious time and we want to support and encourage you in this next step of your life.

At St Giles there are opportunities to meet others in fun and safe ways this autumn whether it is connecting at a zoom event, meeting some of our young adults at socially distanced gatherings or joining one of our home groups   Here is more info on what we have to offer at St Giles.

Virtual Globe Cafe

This is run by FISH (Friendship International Students and Hosts) and is an opportunity to meet others, including international students, for some social contact and interaction.   This is a good way to make new friends from around the globe!  Monday evenings at 7.15pm during term time on Zoom.  Starts 5th October.   For further details email:

Student Buddy

We all need a friendly face especially when we start something new like university and we have some great young adults at St Giles.  Many of them have been to university themselves and so know all about uni life!    Please contact Jess Newlove for more information.

Another way to connect with others and support one another is through bible study and prayer.  The young adults’ home groups meet on Wednesdays and usually start the evening with food!

Please click here for more information on our home groups.

Student Host

Sharing food together is always a great way to get to know others and we have some wonderful cooks here at St Giles who would love to welcome you into their home and share a meal with you.  This is all Covid-guidance dependent of course.   Please contact the church office on 01604 628623 or email if you would like to be invited.
