St Giles Church

Services

Below is an overview of our service pattern – for up-to-date details of what’s happening each week please look at our notice sheet, which you can find under the ‘News’ menu, or at the bottom of the page under ‘Documents’.

Sunday mornings:

Morning services start at 10.00am, all meeting together in the church for the first half hour.
Adults then have a choice – to remain in the church for a sermon, or to go to the church centre, across the road, for input and discussion groups. The children also go to the centre for age-specific circle groups at that point.

On the fourth Sunday of the month we all remain together in the church.
Please note Sundays during the school summer holidays are usually different.

Sunday evenings:

7.00pm – Evening Worship, sometimes with Communion.
On the 1st Sunday of the month we have a joint Celebration with Youth Zone, followed by the p.o.s.t. cafe.

Sunday afternoons: (on the 4th Sunday of each month)

3.00pm – Hymns of Praise service, followed by tea and cakes.

Thursday morning:

Thursday at 11.00am – Holy Communion or traditional morning prayer. This service is followed by coffee and lunch in the church centre.

Café Numa:

Thursday at 7.30pm Monthly – ‘Café Numa’ – First Thursday in the month at 7.30pm in the church centre. A place to journey, to consider and open up questions about God. A place for discovery using film, conversation and music. Aiming to provide a way into Christian faith for those who are interested without being persuaded yet. We start with coffee and cake at 7.30pm followed by gathering and input, come along and bring your friends! For the latest details click here.
