What is alpha?
The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.
It’s relaxed, non-threatening, friendly and fun.
We start by enjoying some food together at the beginning of each session, which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’ After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone, especially:
- Those wanting to investigate Christianity.
- New Christians.
- Newcomers to the church.
- Those who want to brush up on the basics.
What will it cost?
There is no charge for the Alpha Course itself, although a basket is left out each evening in case you want to make a contribution towards the cost of the meal.
Details of the next course:
The next course will launch on Wednesday 24th April 2013. The launch is an introductory evening in the church at 7.00pm and includes a meal, after dinner speaker and a chance to hear about the course. The course will then run on subsequent Wednesday evenings (with puddings and coffee/tea) and also on Tuesday mornings (with cakes and coffee/tea).
